PADCAST 36: POLAND + NEW WEBSITE!

The tour in Poland last week was great fun, with some lovely gigs in good venues. I ate so much food I could hardly walk, and spent some time with some lovely people.  We spent quite a lot of time on the Polish public railway system which certainly seem to run more on time than in the good old UK. All in all, a great trip Here’s the Padcast:

PADCAST 32: FRANCE LIVE RADIO

The Padcast this week comes from the live sessions I did this week for France Culture and France Inter.  The sessions went great and I managed some interview answers in French, something I hope to do a lot more of.  With the concert at Le Triton in Paris coming up, this was a great way to announce it and it would be awesome if the show was sold out…

So here’s a few clips from the trip put to one of the live recordings of ‘Going To See My Baby’ on the show ‘On va tous y passer’ on France Inter:

And here’s a link to a clip from France Culture the night before, which I thought turned out well:

***PADCAST 17*** ON TOUR

This was a great trip, with gigs in Zurich, Bern and…Chorzow in Poland! The main footage I had was from the gig near Bern, so this is what you’ve got! As well as a lot of fun, it was a pretty gruelling schedule with two consecutive nights with pretty much no sleep at all. But totally worth it to get to Poland and play for the Twój Blues Magazine Reader’s Poll Awards, a great night with good people.

***PADCAST 13*** SUNSHINE OF YOUR LOVE

Not much time to write, as I’m at soundcheck in Holmfirth (which the Brits will know as the setting for ‘Last Of The Summer Wine’) and on my phone so will keep it brief for now! Nice to capture some moments from the tour. Some good memories and faces. The band has been sounding great and there’s generally been a lot of fun had!

Will post some related links soon.

***PADCAST NO.5 – GOOD VIBRATIONS***

You can download the song here:

We had a lot of fun recording this! We threw it together quickly, and features Jamie Little’s washboard debut (playing Veronica’s washboard) and Julien Brunetaud on the drums instead of his usual (and brilliant) piano playing. There’s a few clips thrown in from our time at the Mustique Blues Festival this year…

And here’s a great clip of the Beach Boys themselves, with some cameos thrown in…unfortunately, Paul McCartney wasn’t around to feature in ours. Although, Mick Jagger flew in to the Island yesterday : ) Now, that would have been fun…
